Four Years ago, when we founded the festival, we knew that it’s very important for us to leave the comfort zone of the movie theater, and to reach out to women everywhere.
Since our second edition we started holding screenings featuring prominent female creators  in shelters for women who have experienced violence. 
 
Throughout the past year, we organized a series of annual ongoing events in three different shelters in Jerusalem, featuring the best of Israel’s films and women directors. These meetings were fascinating, and created an empowering and interesting dialogue, for all sides, through the wonderful looking glass of cinema.

כבר לפני 4 שנים, כשהקמנו את הפסטיבל הראשון, ידענו שחשוב לנו לצאת מאזור הנוחות של הסינמטק ולדבר על ועם נשים בכל מצבי החיים. 

ובאמת מאז המהדורה השנייה של הפסטיבל התחלנו לקיים הקרנות ומפגשי יוצרות במקלטים לנשים נפגעות אלימות.

בשנה האחרונה קיימנו סדרה שלמה של מפגשים שנתיים, ב-3 מקלטים שונים בעיר, אליהם הבאנו את מיטב הסרטים והיוצרות המובילות בארץ למפגשי הקרנה ושיח. המפגשים היו מרתקים והובילו לשיח מעניין ומעצים, לכל הצדדים, דרך הראי הנפלא של הקולנוע.
