We will screen Dvorit’s two latest films, “The Submarine Case” (2020) and "The Fourth part of the Trilogy" (2022). A post-screening talk with the filmmaker will focus on her work process, research and production, and her choice of subject matters. The following questions will be addressed: what does it mean to be an independent filmmaker? How to Crowdfund a film? And can every woman do it?

This year, we are honored to host Dvorit Shargal, a radically independent filmmaker who has proven, time and again, that making films without any government funding is possible. 

While none of her films received grants from a public film fund, they have been widely popular with the public.
